On September 21, 2024, Li Ping (@Liping007), a well-known meme player and Shib and Pepe whale, posted on Twitter that Musk will build the first Martian city, TERMINUS. Subsequently, a Martian city fever quickly swept the community. In the first three days, the market value increased by 200 times to nearly $50M, and then it consolidated. The current market value is around $35M (as of September 29).
